Few weeks ago I had the opportunity to meet with the local band Long Lost Friend , and we talked about creating some new promotional photos for them. They are a great group of people , and I was definitely excited working with them.  After meeting with Kristen Long (vocals), Walt Brewer (drums) and discussing where their music is heading, we decided to keep an organic look with their portraits ,and go to a couple of different locations, the day of the shoot .  First I was able to use this great home that provided us some interesting shots early in the day, and the owners were kind enough to give us permission in the morning to work there during the shoot…Later that day after taking a short break we were heading to the Fort Morgan site ,in Gulf Shores to get more photos done , curiously  once there, we attracted  a lot of attention from visitors , whom apparently thought we were shooting a music video.  Working inside of some areas in the Fort ,  felt like an “oven” at times , and pretty often found myself rushing to get the light setups ready for them , before they would actually get in the rooms to pose for the camera . I wanted to try different things for their group portraits ,so I threw almost all the studio equipment I own  inside my car and dragged it with me all day long.  I shot a ton of photos , but regardless of the sweat and stress involved to get some of this photos done ,it was worth it!.   One light setups and two light setups were used for most of these pics, and I was able to use some of my favorite  light modifiers too.  Big thanks to Hannah Howard for helping so much assisting with the setups throughout the whole photo shoot. Overall it was a great fun experience ,and finally we couldn’t have ended  the session without doing few solo portraits .  Here are some of  my selected pics from that day .Enjoy!
